This page lists the admin, technicians, and email addresses. Against normal thinking, it also is the page where you can define the categories for the drop down menus. We had to do this for programming reasons, so bear with us, thanks.
Remember, you must also save changes to the Email setup page if you make any email changes to the Technician Setup Page.
Help Desk Categories
List the categories that are applicable. (separated by commas only) It is important that you don’t use punctuation like ( ) # $ @ % ^ & * you may use – or _. It is also important that your categories are not separated with extra spacing. It should be:
General Contact,Demos - Evaluations,Pricing,Customization,Database Questions
Not:
General Contact , Demos – Evaluations , Pricing , Customization , Database Questions
Bad Help Desk Category
You may specify a category that the customer is not allowed to choose. For example, you might set this, and your first category (located above) to "Pick a Category". This forces them to actually pick a category.
Customer Info Categories
Same as above, list the categories that are applicable. (separated by commas only)
FAQ Categories
Same as above, list the categories that are applicable. (separated by commas only)
Administrator's name
It’s necessary to have the admin’s name listed. Usually a first name will do fine.
Administrator's Email address
The admin’s email address is also required.
CC Email Address
If specified, this will send an extra email copy for all WonderDesk email activity. Useful for backups or to verify that the emails are being sent properly.
Technician 1 name
Your first technician (other than the admin) name is filled in here.
Technician 1 Email address
His/her email address is also filled in here.
Notify when new calls come in.
If checked, this technician will receive an email or pager notification for all incoming calls.
